Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between the Operator and
users, as well as other necessary matters, in connection with the use of the mobile application
"PicoPet" (hereinafter the "Service") provided by pilstech (hereinafter the "Operator").
Article 2 (Definitions)
"Service" means all features that the Operator provides through the PicoPet app, including
dog breed recommendation, dog photo decoration, and post sharing (feed).
"User" means a person who agrees to these Terms and uses the Service by signing in through
a supported social login provider (Kakao, Google, or Apple).
"Post" means all content uploaded by a User to the Service, including photos, decorated
images, text, and comments.
Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)
The Operator posts these Terms within the Service or on a linked screen.
The Operator may amend these Terms within the scope that does not violate applicable laws.
When amending, the Operator will specify the effective date and the reason for the amendment
and announce them from 7 days prior to the effective date (30 days prior for changes
unfavorable to Users).
If a User continues to use the Service after the effective date of the amended Terms, the
User is deemed to have agreed to the amended Terms. A User who does not agree may terminate
the use contract by deleting their account.
Article 4 (Conclusion of the Use Contract and Account)
The use contract is concluded when the User signs in through a supported social login
provider (Kakao, Google, or Apple) and agrees to these Terms.
A User's nickname is automatically generated at first sign-in, and the User may change it
within the app.
A User may not transfer or lend their account to a third party, and the User bears any
disadvantage arising from negligent management of the account.
The Operator may restrict use or terminate the contract where it is confirmed that a child
under the age of 14 has signed in.
Article 5 (Termination of the Use Contract · Account Deletion)
A User may terminate the use contract at any time through the "Delete Account" feature in
the app.
Upon account deletion, the User's personal data, posts, and other data are deleted as
prescribed in the Privacy Policy. Deleted data cannot be recovered.
The Operator may, after prior notice, restrict use of the Service or terminate the use
contract where a User violates these Terms. However, in urgent cases, notice may be given
afterward.
Article 6 (Provision, Change, and Suspension of the Service)
As a rule, the Operator provides the Service 24 hours a day, year-round. However, provision
of the Service may be temporarily suspended in the event of system maintenance, failures, or
other operational or technical reasons.
The Operator may change or discontinue all or part of the Service and will give prior
notice, such as through an in-app announcement, of any material change unfavorable to Users
or of any discontinuation of the Service.
Breed recommendation results are reference information generated using artificial
intelligence technology, and their accuracy or fitness for any particular purpose is not
guaranteed. The recommendations do not replace veterinary care or professional advice
regarding your pet's health.
Article 7 (Rights to and Use of Posts)
The copyright in a Post published by a User on the Service belongs to that User.
The User grants the Operator a free, non-exclusive license to store, reproduce, modify
(technical transformations such as resizing), display, and transmit the Post for the operation,
display within the app's screens, and improvement of the Service. The Operator does not use
Posts in external advertising. This license terminates upon the User's account deletion or
deletion of the Post.
The User must hold lawful rights to the Posts, such as photos, that the User uploads, and
where a Post includes another person's image, likeness, or copyrighted work, the User must
obtain the consent of the relevant rights holder.
Article 8 (Prohibited Conduct)
Users must not engage in any of the following acts; a violation may result in measures such
as deletion of the Post, restriction of use, or termination of the use contract.
Misappropriating another person's personal data or making unauthorized use of another
person's social account
Creating Posts that defame others or that promote insult, hatred, or discrimination
Creating Posts that offend public order and morals, such as obscene or violent content
Uploading content that infringes others' rights, such as copyright or portrait rights
Uploading content that encourages or glorifies animal abuse
Posting unauthorized advertising for commercial purposes or spam Posts
Acts that interfere with the normal operation of the Service (abnormal access, reverse
engineering, and the like)
Other acts that violate applicable laws
Article 9 (Management of Posts)
The Operator may, without prior notice, delete a Post or restrict its exposure where the
Post is deemed to fall under the prohibited conduct in Article 8 or to violate applicable
laws.
A person who believes that their rights have been infringed may request the deletion or
restriction of exposure of a Post by substantiating the infringement through the contact in
Article 12.
The Operator may review a report submitted by a User and, where necessary, take interim
measures (restricting exposure) or delete the relevant Post.
Article 10 (Limitation of Liability)
The Operator is exempt from liability where it is unable to provide the Service due to
force majeure, such as a natural disaster or communication failure.
The Operator is not liable for any disruption to Service use caused by reasons attributable
to the User.
The Operator is not responsible for the reliability or accuracy of information, materials,
or facts posted by Users, and has no obligation to intervene in disputes arising between Users
or between a User and a third party.
The Service is provided free of charge, and the Operator's liability is limited to the
maximum extent permitted by applicable laws. However, this does not apply to damages caused by
the Operator's intent or gross negligence.
Article 11 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
The laws of the Republic of Korea govern these Terms and the use of the Service.
Any dispute arising between the Operator and a User in connection with use of the Service
may be brought before the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act.
